Blue Monday
Tell me, how do I feel? Tell me now, how should I feel?
Blue Monday, New Order
If you are feeling happy, a little sad, overwhelmed or over the moon then don't be surprised. Today the 20th January is well known as Blue Monday - the most depressing day of the year.
Take a look at this fast-paced data visualisation from family law and divorce advice website Wiselaw which graphically illustrates many aspects of everyday life!
From Wiselaw
Wiselaw is promoting the real-time graphic as a ‘wake-up call' to take a step back from the digital lifestyle, consider where our lives have become too overloaded, and an opportunity for everyone to consider their life and to prioritise quality moments with partners, family and friends.
We couldn’t agree more.
We all need to slow up.
Every single day 95 million photos are uploaded to Instagram, 518 million tweets are sent, 576,000 hours of video are added to You Tube, $500 million spent on Amazon and 12,000 marriages and divorces happen!
No wonder the world can seem a little overwhelming at times.
Our lives are very busy so maybe we should use Blue Monday as an opportunity to remind ourselves to slow up, enjoy what we have and take time for ourselves and our families.
William James of Wiselaw said: "As we move into 2020, family life for many of us continues at break-neck speed. But such a hectic lifestyle can make it all too easy to neglect the quality moments in our lives. Moments that feed our well-being and uphold our most important relationships with family and friends."
Happy Blue Monday!
