Looking good sunshine!

For the last few weekends we have been letting Harvey pick his clothes each morning. It’s been an interesting experience

The other weekend he came down in an outfit incorporating a red checked shirts and black tie which was tad overkill for a trip to the shops, but this weekend’s attire saw smart purple trousers, a long sleeve checked shirt with stripy polo shirt over the top.

Both these outfits were completed by the inclusion of his current favourite hat, a black and white straw trilby.

I love that Harvey has his own take on style and more importantly that he has the confidence to go out in whatever takes his fancy. I know some people will say that he’s only six and it a perfectly normal phase of life that sees kids shopping round Tesco as Superman or the latest Disney Princess but something tells me that for Harvey this is part of who he is. Harvey has never been one to do the normal thing and now that he can express aspects of himself in what he wears I think we will see a lot of the unusual in his outfit choices.

Folks that know me well will say that when it comes to his dress sense the apple really hasn’t fallen far from the tree as I like to express my character in my clothing. I think being a teenager growing up just outside Brighton helped as with its countless vintage stores and diversity of pop cultures you couldn’t help but walk past all sorts of interesting expressions of character and confidence.

Here then gents is my little man expressing his inner cool this weekend!
