Ultimate IT humiliation

Jasper is 8 (almost 9) and he is living a totally different ‘IT’ life than I did at his age; I was, after all, born in an era when computers where so big they filled an entire room!

I remember the day I saw my first computer, I was 14 and it was 1983. I was sitting at the back of my maths lesson with Jamie and there was a knock at the door. The lesson was interrupted for 5 minutes whilst a computer was rolled into class on a trolley. It was big, fat and weighed a ton! I remember how impressed we all were as the school took delivery of its first computer. I also recall the teachers comment “you can look kids but let’s face it, being the bottom set you are not likely to be touching that thing for a long time!
