Top of the list of course is Star Wars: The Force Awakens (18 Dec), which has been marked in millions of calendars for months now. Can it live up to the hype? Is that girl Han Solo and Leia’s daughter? Not long to wait…

Pixar also return with another movie, fresh from the success of Inside Out. The Good Dinosaur (27 Nov) has had something of a troubled production history, hence why it’s coming out so soon after its predecessor. But that’s not all that uncommon in animated movies and the Pixar genius should never be under-estimated. It features the voices of Jeffrey Wright and Frances McDormand.

And finally, Pan (16 Oct) is a prequel to JM Barrie’s famous story, featuring Hugh Jackman as evil pirate Blackbeard and newcomer Levi Miller as a young Peter. Expect incredible scenery, flying boat rides and some annoyed crocodiles.
