Brooklyn gives Becks a run for his money

He may be just 16-years-old, but it seems David Beckham has some competition …. from his son

Brooklyn has taken to social media to claim he is ‘cooler’ than his dad.

The youngster shared a snap of him and his dad on Instagram, showing the retired footballer looking perplexed.

The caption under the photo wrote: ‘Dad’s not happy about me being cooler than him.’

But the former England footballer quickly hit back posting a picture of himself on HIS Instagram and writing: “Someone trying to copy my style @brooklynbeckham @adidas.”

Brooklyn emphasised his coolness by folding his arms and wearing his cap backwards while David appeared to be eyeing his son from the side and gave a little smile.

The pair are currently in New York supporting Victoria Beckham at her runway show at Fashion Week.

Brooklyn also took being ‘cool’ to another level when he was pictured with singer Selena Gomez and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.

The rising star recently said he was keeping his career options “open” after he passed all of his GCSE exams.

In July the father-and-son duo revealed just how close they were while on a fishing trip in Dorset.

Wearing matching hats, they posted a photo to Instagram showing how much they were enjoying their day out together.

During the same month, a report by fashion retailer Jacamo found 64 per cent of dads seek guidance from their sons when it comes to buying new clothes.

Among the top five items dads have admitted copying from their sons were trainers and jeans.
