One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson has shared the first photo of his newborn son Freddie
The singer tweeted a black and white picture of him holding his son, accompanied by the words: “Meet my little lad, Freddie.”
It shows the first-time father getting to grips with parenthood as he holds the six-day-old against his bare chest while resting his chin on his head.
Freddie was born on Thursday 21st January in Los Angeles, with Louis proudly confirming his birth a few days later on Twitter: “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday 🙂
“He is healthy and pretty amazing, I’m very happy!!”
News of his impending fatherhood broke in August last year, although there has never been an official statement released.
Louis dated Freddie’s mum, LA-based stylist Briana Jungwirth, briefly in May 2015 after he broke up with his long-term girlfriend Eleanor Calder.
Soon after Tomlinson announced the arrival of his son, Jungwirth posted a photo on Instagram taken from her hospital bed, revealing that the child’s full name is Freddie Reign.
It has been reported that the first-time father has moved out to California to be close to his newborn son and that he will also be paying £10,000 in child support, amounting to £2million over his lifetime.
Also announcing the arrival of his first child this week, is McBusted’s Harry Judd.
His wife Izzy gave birth to a little girl called Lola Rose Emma on Monday evening.
Harry confirmed the news on Twitter saying: “Both Mummy and Lola are doing very well. Izzy is my hero and I love my girls.”
The 30-year-old announced the pregnancy following a course of IVF treatment in August 2015, after Izzy was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries.
The couple have been together for 10 years and married in December 2012 following a seven-month engagement.
Harry’s bandmate Tom Fletcher also confirmed he is expecting his second child this year.
His wife Giovanna had their first, Buzz, in March 2014 after getting married in London two years earlier.
