REVIEW: Winnie's Big Bad Robot by Valerie Thomas and Korky Paul

25 years on, Winnie the Witch is still at the top of her game

Winnie the Witch has been casting her magic spells over kids for more than 25 years, and it’s not difficult to see why she’s as popular as ever. Korky Paul’s joyous illustrations are brimming with a sense of fun, and Valerie Thomas’s stories never fail to connect with kids. When Winnie accidentally creates a robotic monster who pinches her wand and goes on the rampage, it’s up to Wilbur the cat to save the day. Robots and witches – it's a winning combination for younger kids.

OUP, out now. Age: 5+
