You don’t see your arguments...Your kids do!

Have you ever seen yourself arguing? A look caught on camera, a reflection in glass.

It’s not a pretty sight.

When life is stressing us out we've all been there and ended up having a petty argument in front of the kids. It isn't great and if we could see how it impacts our kids we probably wouldn't do it.

But even though we know we shouldn't we all argue sometimes.

Whether that’s with our partners, our parents or other family members, life stresses can put strain on families and lead to conflicts which can impact on children’s mental health and long-term outcomes.

Social change charity ​Good Things Foundation​ have partnered with relationship experts ​OnePlus One​ to offer some advice to reduce the impact of your arguments on your children. They suggest, if you can, when you are brewing for an argument you should:

Stay Calm

Speak for your self

Re-think how you say things

Let you, your family and your children ​see it differently​.

and try and remember, you don’t see your arguments.Your kids do
