TOPIC: Emergency legal help

Emergency legal help 1 month 3 weeks ago #105416

I've recently been in contact with a solicitor who have said that they can represent me for free and over the phone asked me to give them the details so that they could complete a CW1 form. It turns out that this is for emergency legal help.

I was refused legal aid and have never been able to afford a solicitor so this came as a very big surprise.

I was wondering under what circumstances can solicitors offer help in this context?

hi,

am not familiar with this, but have a look at:

www.gov.uk/government/publications/cw1-f...or-legal-aid-clients

they will probably assess your income/savings etc

Best place to get free advice is to come on here
