Hi
I have been subject to lots of false accusations and I am sure ex has been to the school saying she has been in fear . Thankfully now we are living separately but she is controlling the child arrangements. Initially wanted only visiting in the day with no overnight but now I have children sat and Sunday every 2 weeks so one overnight . I keep asking for me to collect the children on a Friday but she keeps declining and
I know I need to submit C100 but I understand I can obtain the school educational records within 15 days .

Is it worth doing this and would it show anything more than child’s education rather than all the information that she has been feeding the school ? How scared she has been ( all untrue )
Will carcass contact the school ?
And recently my school emails suddenly stopped but now been reinstated ? I will ask them why !
Just want to know if anyone had any experience.
I

hi,

if you went to court about this, then you wil get to have kids from fri-sun. you will most likely have to collect children from school. i went to court last year for this. i went back this year and got extra time, fri-mon morning.

if you take legal roue, then when cafcass gets it involved, they will get in touch with school, like talk to headteacher. they check attendance records of child, and find out if school has any concerns about the child.

Hi Aqua,

The standard Child Arrangements is that the so -called 'non-resident' parent would have their child/children with them every other fortnight - usually Friday from school to Sunday evening or Monday morning (school drop-off). Additionally there would be a midweek overnight. This is to allow the 'non-resident' parent to have some regular direct interaction with their kids' school.
I went to court because my son's mother thought (and actually stated so) that one overnight a week was 'a generous arrangement - more than most other separated dads got' and made it clear I was not to expect more. I didn't agree with her assessment, and neither did the Judge. The arrangement awarded means my son is with me 5 overnights a fortnight, and unlike before I have in-person interaction with his school as I'm involved in some of the school drop-off and pick-ups. This helps school to keep in mind there are two parents in the frame that they need to work with and keep informed, not just the one they predominantly see.
As your children's father, you should be able to access your children's school records, providing there are no safeguarding issues. Unfortunately though, not all schools have the basic skill of playing an even hand with both separated parents.

Hi Toks
Thanks for that informative reply .
She doesn’t want me to have them more than 2 nights in a row and it is half term . Not sure how summer will pan out too .
Unfortunately I think she is doing this to get more child maintenance! And not thinking the children should have time with their father .

hi aqua,

she is being irrational, and the courts will give you the 2 nights. ask for half of school holidays to be shared equally. you already having kids 1 night as a routine, so would be easy for courts to give 2. you should ask for 7 nights :p for summer holidays/xmas. even though court may not give right away, then next year hopefully. my ex is being silly about not giving more than 3 nights.
