Got a directions hearing for contact next week . It's 3 weeks before a final contested hearing . The hearing is specifically to see if any issues can be solved before then . The sec 7 sw had put some recommendations in for me to complete , which I have done . This hearing is mainly for her to update the judge on my progress . It is a remote hearing ,by phone but the court order stated that any statements , material , documentation is to be forwarded . In what format or context do I send in information of what work I have done since my last hearing . I have completed 11 online courses , am halfway through a course with an adult education centre and I have certificates for these . These need to be included in anything I write in . Thank you in advance

hi,

you should do another position statement as usual. write down all your progress in there. you could add that if they want to see evidence of your progress like certificates, you can provide that. if order states that you have to submit evidence like course certificates for next hearing, email together with position statement. check court order to see if it asks you to write a witness statement etc.

also in position statement put down what kind of contact your seeking. also write what your seeking in interim, in case it does go to final hearing. email your statement to court in advance.

my case was straightforward. at 2nd hearing the judge was very eager to wrap it up, and said there's no need to go to a further contested hearing as no major issues. so he had the 2nd DRA hearing become a final one.

Hi,

Theres a witness statement template here:

childlawadvice.org.uk/witness-statements/

I was asked to write witness statement in past. Was not asked about physical witnesses. It was more of a glorified position statement.

Statement of no more than 6 pages has been requested by the judge . To be numbered and paragraphed for a final hearing . We have done that but can you add evidence documents to that . The addendum for the sec 7 was full I lies , again and we have evidence to prove that . How would that be added to the statement. Please . As an example the initial recommendations by the sw asked my son to do courses , the judge said online courses would be fine under the circumstances. He found a course provider and did courses To aid personal development. The sec 7 author has said she had contacted the provider and stated all courses he had done were irrelevant and therefore no progression saying they were for professionals to better their careers. My son specifically chose courses that were to aid personal development , we have copies of each briefing to prove that . The sec 7 author also claimed that 3 professionals had informed her of something that they hadnt. We have spoken to these professionals and they have said those conversations had never taken place and were total fabrication . How do we deal with that ? Any advice p!ease

do you know if the cafcass s7 author will be present at the final hearing? if so you could discuss these issues with the judge. you can also dispute that information in your statement.
