Hi , final hearing was on 29/10 . Haven't received the court order yet so contacted the Courts who said they were waiting for something from the other party . The other party said they had sent a draft order and were awaiting for the Courts approved version . What is a draft order p!ease ?

hi Mich,

I take it your ex was represented by a barrister/solicitor? if so then the court expects them to write up/draft the court order. then they have to send it to court for approval. Then court posts it out to you. It took me a couple of weeks to get my order after my final hearing. You could try chase up and email your ex' solicitor about it. they do tend to drag their feet, especially if your not their client. Or courts are running slower than usual due to covid.

Thank you , so will get solicitor get the last say that goes in the order . For instance the judge said there was to be a progression of contact with Cafcass to monitor . He said to the ex if there is no reason why there should not be progression do not stand in the way of this . Her solicitor has just said that if more contact is wanted in the future it would need to be applied for through the Courts . So will this be another year of the same again to get contact increased.

Hi,

their solicitor should put into the order whatever court ordered and asked to be put in. I find that whenever I am self-represented, ex's solicitor tries their best to word a an order that favours their client.

what was agreed in court if you don't mind sharing?
