Hi Dad.info.

So far upon using this site I've found it fantastic and full of useful information in my current ever growing crisis....

My ex partner out of her own bitterness has refused to let/put me on our 3 year old sons birth certificate or allowed me parental legal rights and responsibilities even since pleading from birth. I also am only allowed to see him once to twice a month at her discreation!

I have taken the well gained advice from some of the helpers via this site (my thanks I send you once more) and after exercising the following options: personal letters, lawyers letters, mediation invitations, the status of sanity etc I am still without progress which leaves me now were I have little alternative if I want a real relationship with my son is to take her to the Scottish courts.

I understand to do so I need to produce an Initial Writ. I have started one but struggling slightly on how to word this after the "defender" details at the very start. All I hope to do is gain a place rightfully on his birth certificate (or gain PRR) and the chance to actually spending some real set time with him and raise him like any normal father would without being dictated or refused etc by another possessive, controlling human being.

Can anybody please advise me on how to complete an Initial Writ so I can get the ball rolling to do what is right before I lose another 3 years to solicitors and contact threats.

Many many thanks in advance to any and everyone who can advise.

I've removed your son's name from your post - best to keep it anonymous on here as it's a public forum.

It's worth contact the Scottish Child Law Centre - they can give free legal advice on these matters
