hi dads,

just wondering if any dads attend parents evening? am bit old school, not sure but they now call it academic review day? what's it like going as separated parents? if a school is only doing it for 1 day in the term, that means only one parent can attend?

thanks.

I get weekly newsletters from kids school and if you explain you are separated from ex most school will do the best they can to keep you updated about important things and you will be able to attend parents evening separately. some schools text your mobile phone allowing you to book a slot alongside as rest of parents. best thing to do is pop into school and speak to head teacher explaining situation and you would like to attend seperately

My eldests school calls me and books me a slot for parents evening. There is no reason why you cannot have your own one.

Like the other comments say, you should be able to book your own slot. I always book a separate slot (my son's mum has a habit of talking over me) -sometimes the teachers arrange a slot on another day -they'll tell me to come in 15 minutes early on one of the days I pick my son up from school.
