I have daughter at Edinburgh uni. She will be 20 in April. I have contributed without complaint to my daughters upkeep and education unfailingly for more than 17 years. Seems my requirement to contribute will end at the end of May. Kind of p****d off about this. I would have preferred that the requirement for support ended with the first attempt to graduate. My daughter will have 2 years left after this year, but my wife (her stepmother) insists the support stops at the end of May.

hi,

yep, you should have stopped paying as soon as she started uni in the first place.

If the money is paid directly to your daughter continue. Otherwise your wife is correct you should have stopped giving money to your daughter's mother as soon as your daughter went to university.
