I was from the opposite side - I had a Sinclair Spectrum. Actually, I think it is still in the garage somewhere.

I'm old enough to remember pong and obviously the speccy and Commodore.

Have you seen this news report ? A tech reporter showed a working Commodore 64 to a group of teenagers .

I remember putting a game in the cassette player waiting 20 minutes for it to load and then the tape would "click" and end!!!

Either that or the game would crash after the first level forcing you to load it all over again. :( Strider on the Commodore was a right git for doing that.

I remember my Amstrad CPC 464 with the built in tape deck as you say taking ages to load, with some games if you didn't have the volume in the right place they wouldn't load.

I think my brother still has that system in his loft

you could hear the games loading - like listening to an old fax machine transmitting.

haha, very true.

In fact, not only will they not know the link between the two, they may not even know what a casette is - in fact, they probably won't even know what a floppy disk is, certainly not a 5 1/4 inch disk.

I still remember my walkman and then thinking I was the dogs **** when I got a CD Discman. Even though it jumped whenever I walked!

What about a button on my phone that will switch all the lights off in my house - that will save me 10 minutes every day!
