Hi, hopefully this doesn't sound like a bad Jeremy Kyle episode  ....

I have a wonderful little one who is the apple of my eye. Sadly her mother and I broke up just a year into her life.
I met someone new and spent around 3 relatively happy years together which also came to an end 18 months ago. Fast forward to my usual face time call with my daughter who announces that she saw my 'old girlfriend' and I later discover that the mother of our daughter and my ex partner are occasionally meeting up. I wouldn't mind but my daughter is early primary school years and has only really just moved on.

I have emailed my daughters mum to say that I think this is quite confusing for her and that it's not really helpful with moving forward with all of our lives.

Welcome your thoughts on this because it is eating me up! Thanks in advance.

I think I would just let it go. Your daughter likely had a bond with your girlfriend and I don't really see anything wrong with it unless you think there is an ulterior motive.

I have several years experience supporting parents in family proceedings as a McKenzie Friend. I am, however, not a lawyer or barrister and my responses are based on my own opinions or experiences of the family court.

Hi There.
.
I tend to agree with Yoda that I wouldn't be too concerned as much as it's odd, it's not really going to cause any real damage to issues.
