Hi all,

My friend was recently on a dating app and he saw a profile from my ex, now I'm not bothered she is on tinder and I am very happy in a relationship.

But she has pictures of my son with her and that kinda annoyed me, am I right to be annoyed? and should I just leave it or say something?

Thanks for your opinions

If it annoyed you, perhaps you should say something about it, I agree with you, pictures of children on dating apps isn’t really appropriate, no matter how innocent.

All the best

Hi Jmax,

Not quite sure what to say about the previous comment posted on this thread, so I'll leave it at that.
I've not been in the situation you've described, but I believe I wouldn't be particularly happy about it if it ever did come up, as I don't think it's appropriate, as it places the child in the picture frame of what is essentially an ad for adult relationships.

Approaching your ex about this might be difficult if you don't have an easy relationship with her. She's not doing anything illegal as far as I can tell, even if many might see this as an error of judgement. If you feel you can raise this in a non-accusing way (maybe stress safety concerns for your kid), and you think she might take this on board, then that could be worth doing to ease your mind. She might not like it, but hopefully she'll give it a second thought.

hi,

what you can do is go on that app, report those pictures to the app owners. tell them that this is inappropriate for children to be displayed in the pics and they should be taken down. there could be weirdos/paedophiles lurking on those apps.

I agree - the dating app should have T&C's relating to this, so you could check those, but it is inappropriate to have children in her pictures where the child is not old enough to voice their own opinion on the matter, at least.

Have deleted the message before Toks as it was inappropriate.

I agree with the others advice - there must be T&Cs regarding appropriate photos.

If you were in court proceedings, they would not be happy to hear about that.

Jmax I do understand you very well, my ex posted a photo with our daughter on Tinder, and I got furious, I don't care that she is on Tinder, but she used a photo of our daughter. I assume that she linked her facebook with tinder, but it is really making me be angry. I recently read an article https://mobilesms.io/tinder-without-facebook/ where was told about why it is bad to link your tinder account with facebook, like all the data you have on facebook, tinder will have access to it, probably even to messages. I tried to explain this to her, but all in vain. At least I reported the photo and it was deleted.
