Hello all,
I am not british nore I live in the UK, but I found myself in the need of a british lawyer, possibly in the Poole-Bournemouth area.
My ex who is british, last April left my country with our 3 years old son. We were not married but i am registered in his birth certificate (he was born in my country). The separation was consensual and we agreed on some visit time for the child to come oversea and spend time with me. She never complied. She "lost" the child ID, which had been released in my country, so that he could not travel anymore outside of UK.
Now she told me she applied for a british passport without requiring my signature in it.
useless to say i think she is planning to cut me out from my child in the eyes of the british law.

I really need a solicitor that can help me out through this, so that i can have my child here for the holidays as we arranged privately before, and i can be recognised in the UK with parental responsibility (btw, I always since there paid her a monthly allowance, even in absence of a court order).

Can anyone suggest me a solicitor I can contact from abroad?

Thank you

Hi there

You could try searching online for solicitors in the specific area. You could also contact Reunite International who deal with child cases that cross borders.

They have an adviceline - +44 1162 556 234

I did try and link to their website, but our site is picking it up as spam and won't allow it... never had that problem before!

DadTalk Moderator...

I'm not a lawyer or barrister and my responses are based on my own opinions or experiences of the family court.

I may not be legally trained... but I have plenty of experience and common sense!
