I have 2 children with my ex, we went to court last year and have an arrangement that has worked so far but I need to have it changed due to needing a new job. Currently I have the kids 2 weekend Saturday-Monday and one Weeknd Saturday-Sunday.
My reasons for needing to change the agreement is that due to having to do the school run on the Monday morning I am finding it impossible to find find full time work as a HGV driver in my area as they are all Monday to Friday early starts. My ex is also planning on moving to another city wich will make the Monday morning school run tricky to say the least.
I have tried to talk to her about the situation but she has refused, is there any chance of the court amending the agreement so that I can get back to full time work or am I destined for a life of random agency shifts and ever increasing debt?

hi,

you can apply to court to vary the CAO. will cost £215.

but first you will need to attend mediation. you mentioned that your ex is refusing to deal with you. so what you can do is attend MIAM mediation assessment on your own. you tell the mediator that ex is not interested in mediating, and they will decide if you can go and make court application. message me if you need more info about mediator.

other than HGV, are there any other driving jobs you can do?
