Hi Stevie,

Try this recent thread as there were a few who shared how theyrs went.

http://www.dad.info/dad-talk-forum/legal-eagle/35707-section-7-social-services#35708

Not sure how to link to it but if you go back and look for "section-7-social-services" or paste the above into your browser it shoud work. I hope.

Be approachable, polite, dont criticise your ex just share concerns and most of all focus on whats best for the children.

Regards,

Dave

Hi there,

It depends what report CAFCASS have been asked for.

If its a schedule 2 report, it's fairly basic...they will want to know if you have convictions and also any if the child/children have had any Social Services involvement previously. They will ask if you have any concerns and what you would like to happen, your relationship with the children, that kind of thing.

If its a section 7, it's more involved and they will want to talk to you in more depth, they would probably want to see your home involvement and may want to see you interact with your child/children. If the child/children are old enough they will ask them for their wishes and feelings and the mother will also,be interviewed. They may ask for school reports...all in all a more in depth report.
