What do you Dad's do for exercise? 5 years 1 month ago #54714

Glad to see all you dad's are trying to do something to keep fit , keep up the good work dad's!

What is it you hate most ? Do you find when your in better shape your temper and frustrations are less with you're kids?

I would love to build a cult were dad's can hang around with other dads whilst getting fit.

I dont know about you guys but i find it much harder for dads to hang around together especially with the kids.

Well Mr Slim, i am a lucky one.

I smoked no where near that. 20 bag every 4 days roughly. I have had it before where i completely cut it out with no issues.

I moved to Greece for 5 years and they look dimly on it so i had to give up. Not an issue.

Smoking is my big thing, I have smoked rollups since i was 12-13 (now 27) without a filter roughly 20 - 25 cigs a day. Im finding it difficult but i know the end result is worth it.

I'm no way trained in Family court matters so don't take my ramblings as gospel but I've been through the Court mill and learned so much along the way I just like passing my experience on to other Dads who face this absolute nightmare from hell, you might not be able to beat the system but don't let it beat you :)

lol mine is 4 days.

@adam, i think it would be good for dads to meet up with the kids at a kids play centre with an indoor jungle gym typa thing. And also go out for a beverage/ arrange a meet up. That sort of thing would be healthy for your brain, to meet the people who are having issues with it all too.

I was thinking about setting up a TeamSpeak 3 server (a voice client installed on your computer like skype) just so Dads can actually talk to each other. But i dont know if it would be used.

I'm not into them but Families need fathers do meetings all over the country where dads meet up who are all having issues with seeing their kids theres even Women there too which is good for a different perspective.

Well, as I said, I go swimming and use a rowing machine. The bit I hate most is swimming and using the rowing machine. Every last second of both.

When I was 40, I lost loads of weight and got really fit - spend pretty much every weekday lunchtime in the gym or swimming pool ...... and hated every last second of that too. :x

I desperately need to start some kind of exercising again. I've never been a fitness fanatic but every few months id get my shit together & used to swim every night after work or go to the gym three times a week. Usually only lasted a few months at a time though.
Now I drink far too much smoke too much & feel dreadful.
I'd love a group for dads to get fit together. Ideally I'd want to meet in the park do callestetics & a little jogging.
Thinking about joining a gym but realistically I could only go between 8-9 at night & not sure I could maintain that commitment.

Still swimming - twice a week before work. Still hating every last second of it.

I run and do weights daily, maybe 1/2 rest days depending on my schedule. Run in the morning before work and gym (weights) on my lunch break. Sometimes fit in walks with the mrs at weekends when I manage to convince her.

Used to road cycle with a bunch of semi-pro cyclists but thighs were growing too large for comfort.

Also play football with work colleagues once a week. Should start swimming with the kids soon.

So yea...very active indeed :)
