TOPIC: PND

PND 2 weeks 4 days ago #96562

I have a nearly 5 month old little boy and haven't been feeling great for a while. I went to counselling where they suggested I have pnd. Has anyone gone through this and have anything to share or any advice on this at all?

Hi, if that's the case, I'm surprised that they didn't suggest you go back to your GP. Certainly I would say that's a good starting point.

Hi there

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling great, did the GP refer you to counselling? As actd has mentioned, it might be helpful follow this up with your GP to see if there is any more help you can access.

In the meantime heres a link to some further information about male PND

www.nct.org.uk/life-parent/dads-and-part...ings-you-should-know

... and here's a link to the Pandas website, where you can access a helpline if you need to talk to someone, they may also be able to sign post you to further help.

It's good that you are looking for help and want to find out more...hopefully having more information and being able to speak to someone that understands how you're feeling will set you on the path to,feeling better.

If you haven't spoken to your partner, it would be a good idea to talk to her and ask for her help too... things will get better.

Best of luck
