TOPIC: Sherlock movie or TV?

Sherlock movie or TV? 7 years 3 months ago #11168

Think that the Sherlock Holmes revival is great the new TV series is very clever as it puts a 21st century slant on a very old story, I loved the movie but if I had to choose I would find it difficult.

Got me thinking what other TV shows have done well on the big screen?

...and which haven't

Not Really seen much of this or even a full episode, but the start of the one on new years day showed a swimming pool, I mentioned to someone I was with it looked like one I learnt to swim in, in Bristol (where I live) I was told that it was a bold statement!!!

I've googled it and I was right, it's a an original Victorian pool on a little backstreet.

Was very odd seeing it.

Completely different slant but the Inbetweeners film was brilliant!!!

Has to be TV.

Don't get me wrong, the film was good, however the Hollywood slant (read 'action and explosions') was a bit too much for an inherently british character.

On the other hand the series plays more on Sherlock the intellect, which is the way it should be in my opinion.
