TOPIC: Xmas shopping stress

Xmas shopping stress 1 week 3 days ago #102744

Hello guys,

Just wondering if any of you have the same year on year issue I have.

I have a 5 year old every other weekend and every year I normally spend £300-£400 in Christmas presents alltogther including my son/nephews/nieces/My parents etc.

My ex ALWAYS waits till I've done all my Christmas shopping then sends me a list of presents my son has asked for I find this really anoying because I always get him his main parent and I love being inventive and go on a spontanous shop around to get him extra presents we both think completely differently I think because we are both single shopping separately is better and narrows room for financial arguments.

I don't think your ex should be giving you a list, makes me feel like I'm put on the spot and the issue is because of her manic bipolar she gets angry and aggressive so you can't reason with her.

What do I reply when I get the long list on messenger on dec 21st and the last second haha??

l would tell her that you have already bought presents, and if she wants to give you a list in future, then to do so a month before.
