Hi, looking some advice. I received a letter from my solicitor demanding payment from myself. The solicitor didn't do anything I asked, kept coming up with different smaller needless things that I didn't need to get access to my child. It has been 4 years now and I still don't see my child. Do I have to comply and pay for something that I never got? Thanks in advance
You would legally have to pay the bill. All solicitors are different. some will send letter after letter and then write it off. others have been known to send a debt collector around to resolve it and other ones go through the courts resulting in a bailiff coming round if not paid.
Apologies, I'm in NI so no bailiffs here. I'm just looking them to leave me alone. They basically experimented a few different tactics with my case, used me as their Guinea pig and their tactics didn't work. Bumped themselves up, I took the bait and now they want paid for it.
