Dauther not returned from contact with her mum ( I have r/o and she broken court order AGAIN!!!) ex states to unwell to return daughter. I called Police for a welfare check as ex stated she "dying!" She told police she had a sore throat!!!!! I told off by police for "over reacting" and "wasting police time".... Daughter (7yrs) has self harmed over the weekend by biting herself as she heard ex and her new partner arguing and thought she was the cause..... I am mortified for her.... Called Solicitors this morning, they'll call back. called Cafcass- not overly interested, but won't comment till both sides of the story heard. Now apprently we have to speak to the social, they'll call back IS THERE NO URGENCY IN THIS WORLD - THIS IS MY DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
update. had to go to court today for ex-parte & prohibited steps. Both granted in my favour. Back in court on friday for urgent directions. ex been served the paperwork and stills needs to sl*g me me in a text... Fingers crossed my daughter will be back tomorrow. I had to ride the system, patience and biting my tongue! :?
Thanks for the update. I sincerely hope your daughter will be back with you, today? Don't respond to the text slagging you off. Keep your cool, bite your tongue and I wish you luck in being reunited with your daughter. Let us know how you get on.
Where do I start?... went to court friday no changes to current court order, BUT they are going to appoint a court guardian for my daughter. It transpires that it will be our cafcass officer. Report due in 2 weeks as apposed to 2 months!! Apprently this is one of the best things that can happen as the guardian will report and suggest changes (written into the court order, that they can apply to the court ASAP, should they be concerned) Apprently only 1-300 kids are appointed a guardian....
Ex couldn't help herself in court, walked past me and called me a liar!! There was her on Thursday night swearing at my daughter on the phone!! she still don't learn...
Thing is friday my daughter had a school fete, after was really hyped up messing about with her peers that she decided she didn't want to go to her mum's. Myself and my partner tried for 2 hours to get her to go. In the end I said to my daughter I was just gonna take her. she started to cry, and got really upset and threatend to bite herself. Once she said that and we had spoken to the legal team, we decided we could not force her. Rang her "guardian" who was said she could understand given last weekend's debarcle that my daughter was frightened to go, but was reluctant to get involved.
Later last night ex called for and was really horrible to my daughter, threatening my daughter "what? do you never wont to come to my house AGAIN?" Blaming my daughter for ruining her plans and general ranting. Daughter got upset and didn't know what to say. My partner hung up the phone. My daughter then hit the sauce bottle on the table stating "well it's better than biting myself"...... What can you say?
I would suggest possibly that you ask your GP what is available for self-harming (ask your daughter beforehand so she knows what you are doing) - she needs to be able to handle situations that at present she feels are beyond her control, but in fact, she can take control of.
Update: Due in court Monday. My daughter now has her own Solicitor and Court Guardian. It has been suggested today from my Solicitors that it "maybe considered appropriate" for both me and my ex to have phyc assessments! I cannot beleive this. We are going to court becuase of what she puts my daughter through. Both daughter and ex supported by legal aid and I have to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT HAPPY!
FINALLY had our appointment with Cafcass, waste of time in my opinion. Felt like a naughty little boy being told off for putting my daughter through all this!!!!! Er? Hang on.... IT'S NOT ME!!!!!!!!! I ended up telling Cafcass that I told them over a year ago what was happening.... Now they deem it SERIOUS!!!!! Just feel like what's the point nobody listens to me, nobody takes me serious, it's all deemed "tit-for-tat"......
I feel if they deem is so serious, could/would they consider foster care for my daughter. Guys I am shi**ing myself for my poor little girl.
