TOPIC: Help needed

Help needed 3 years 8 months ago #73594

Couldn't find and drops but was recommended vit b capsules. Let's see if they help. Kept myself busy today with packing and getting stuff ready for Friday, I do feel a bit better for it and have lost the nausea for the time being.
Hope you've all had a good day

Keep being positive Ian. Many of us have been through the same and can help a little with your burden.

Hi Othen, many thanks, trying to be positive as much as poss. Telling our daughter tomorrow so pretty anxious about it to be honest. Hopefully it will help ease some of this anxiety once it's done.
Packed up a fair bit today so that's one less thing to worry about.

Hi Ian,
Your daughter is 11, I suspect she will understand more than you expect.
Good fortune,
O

Hi Othen, yes perhaps but it's going to be very hard all the same, I'm hating the fact that it will upset her so much. Keeping busy today with moving and packing bits, feel a bit nauseous as always but I'm just going to have to push on,

Ive been through it like most on here.

Remember to say "it could be worse" is equitable to telling a happy person they could be happier. People feel what they feel.

I have some knowledge of some stuff.

So we told her! At first she ran to her room and didn't want to talk, very upset and quite angry. We explained everything then let her have some space. 30 mins later she was downstairs appearing ok and taking it all in her stride. I sorted my old iPhone for her and gave her that so she could ring me whenever she felt the need, she was very happy with this and it seemed to create a distraction.

Spoke to her when she went to bed and again she seemed OK and very strong. So relieved it's done. She's off to Wales with her mum for the weekend so hopefully this will give her some time to come to terms with it all. I,ll be moving from tomorrow so that will keep me busy. I'll feel so much better though knowing she's ok.

I'll keep you all posted with regard to how the weekend goes
Best wishes to you all
Ian

Hi Ian,
Well, that was one of the most difficult bits negotiated without too many problems.
It sounds like your wife is being fairly reasonable. 3 years on and my ex-wife will still not allow my son (aged 11 now) to take his cell phone to her house for the weeks he spends with her.

Hi Othen, jeez that seems harsh, I'm really sorry to hear that, must be tough for you.
My wife is being very supportive atm, just hope it lasts. My daughter seems fine this morning in fact it's as if nothing has happened. Perhaps it's just her way of dealing with it.
Have a good day
