Today is World Mental Health Day. Mental health problems can affect anyone of any age, any day of the year, but 10th October is a good day to show your support for better mental health, and to start looking after your own wellbeing, and the wellbeing of those close to you
Each day this week on DAD.info, our blogger Marc will be talking about his own personal experience of mental health issues within his family, and sharing his thoughts and feelings about his own son’s suicide attempt.
Watch Marc’s video below and please share your comments or visit our forum if you’re affected by any of the issues raised in this week’s series of blogs.
Read more of Marc’s blogs for DAD.info here, and watch the second in his series of vlogs about suicide tomorrow.
We will also be running support articles this week from mental health organisations including MIND and YoungMinds, which both offer help and support for those suffering from mental health issues. You can read YoungMinds‘ advice on how to spot signs of mental health issues in young people here.
Whether you are struggling to cope yourself, or you’re concerned about the mental health of a loved one, please visit their websites or make a call – a team of experts will be there to offer help and support.
