DAD.info is Europe’s largest advice and support website for fathers.
We were established in 2008 as a new generation men’s lifestyle channel and the leading voice for Dads. At DAD.info we want to celebrate the changing role of Dads with engaging, helpful, practical, entertaining resources and content for every stage of their journey. We are home to the largest connected community of active, involved Dads through our interactive forum, providing great peer to peer support and advice for what can be one of the most challenging and rewarding life experiences.
DAD.info is run by Spurgeons, one of the UK’s leading children’s charities (1081182), supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families for 150 years.
Today, Spurgeons has contact with around 30,000 children and adults, whilst working more intensively with over 3,000 children and young people over the last year.
How Spurgeons Makes A Difference
Spurgeons runs around 50 services/projects in 22 Local Authority areas across England (Midlands, East, West, South and London). With more than 400 staff, 150 volunteers and thousands of supporters, Spurgeons deliver a range of support services including children centres and family hubs, prison-based family support, services to support young carers, families affected by domestic abuse and to girls and young woman in, or at risk of, joining gangs.
Through Fegans Services we also provide a full range of professional counselling services in our centres and also in primary and secondary schools. Our BACP registered counsellors are all fully qualified and work with parents and children to enable them to manage their lives, build relationships and make positive choices. We are commissioned by Early Help, Local Authorities and schools to undertake three main forms of parent support:
- Evidence-based parenting programs to vulnerable families
- Emergency intervention (e.g. adoption breakdown, high end need)
- Targeted community-based programs
No child should face life’s struggles alone
At Spurgeons we believe every child deserves the opportunity to live a happy and hope-filled life; that no child should face abuse, neglect or uncertainty.
We are able to bring our hands-on knowledge and experience in the challenges and joys of parenting to the readers of DAD.info
