Hi please help ! Past 8 years I have been paying 600 per month up until Oct 2024 when I lost my job. Long story short claimed job seekers from Oct until may when I become self employed. Informed cms of benefit claim and my Payments were reduced to around £8-00. Just registered with HMRC for Utr number for self employment and informed cms of my new potential earnings. I’ve just had another rejection letter saying I must now pay 169 per week as they still think I’m earning what I was in Oct 2024. Had letters saying I could go to prison have my licence taken away etc. however I’ve only just started as self employed Gardner and only earning around £100 per week until my business hopefully gets off the ground. I even got my new account to draft a letter to the contrary outlining my projected earnings and that I have just applied to HMRC. What do I do now ? Thanks in advance.

hi, CMS should accept the accountant letter of projected earnings. if not, you should raise complaint with your MP.
