Can I choose to pay my child maintenance with supermarket vouchers? I don't feel the money I give my ex is being spent on feeding my children properly and think this would put my mind at ease a little, even though I know it doesn't guarantee how it's spent
If you can sort out a family based arrangement with your ex, then there's nothing to stop this, but if you are talking CSA, then the answer is no I'm afraid. Ultimately, it doesn't really make any difference, she could be using the vouchers to pay for anything she wants from the supermarket and using her money to pay for other things. Also, don't forget that maintenance is to cover all aspects of supporting your children, which includes heating, lighting, providing for a home etc.
