Hi just wondering.
I've been calculated at 32k a year. I have a kid with my ex and I have been told estimated to pay 320 a month. However I go through the calculator online and it says £52 a week without a variation.
I have a wife who I support as she doesn't work. Aswell as supporting the 3 children that live with me. 2 step kids and 1 of my own. Without my wage these kids would suffer. I can't afford 320 a week.
Do child maintenance take into consideration the 3 other children that live with me? because technically I am paying my wife child maintenance already so she can support the 3 children.
So surely this would reduce the cost of maintenance to a more appropriate sum of my child with my ex?
Thanks
320 a month even
Hi There,
You would get a reduction for the 3 children that live with you, I know that I get a reduction for my step son, but I did check on the calculator to see how it would change when my wife gives birth in Sept and it only changed by a few pounds.
What have they said when you have challenged them on the amount?
