Hi there, im wondering if anyone can please tell me how the cms or myself work out what my weekly income is.
I am monthly paid so what I do is take my monthly wage, deduct the pension contributions i pay, then times that figure by 12 (months), then divide by 52 ( weeks) to get my weekly wage.
the only problem is what i work out is different to what I recieve from the cms so I'm just wondering if im doing it correct or if there is another way to work this figure out please.
thank you for any help or feedback.
As far as I am aware, what you have done is quite correct (I suppose you could get your annual income and divide by 365, and then multiply by 7 to get a more accurate figure). Otherwise I'd speak to them - don't forget that CMS work on a gross figure - ie before tax.
