[Solved] CSA and suspected Child Benefit Fraud by ex wife

My daughter finished her A levels and left school in August 13, she has decided to take a gap year and has had a couple of part time jobs (really for something to do, for fun and a bit of money) She wanted to go to University straight after her A levels but her grades of A*,A and B were not accepted she needed 3 As for her Uni of choice. She intends to reapply next year to the same Uni and may retake her B grade again. My daughter is 17 and sat her A levels a year early. My ex wife continues to claim child benefit and child tax credits for her and as a consequence the CSA tell me that I'm liable to pay CSA still. I have reported my ex to the DWP for illegally claiming benefits (I did email her and told her that I would follow this course if she didn't stop) the Child Benefit Office tell me that it can take up to 6 months to investigate! I have emailed them, phoned them and written to them twice (recorded delivery) and forwarded to the CSA the evidence that my daughter had left school (a letter from her last headmaster confirming that she had left full-time education as of Aug 13), I also provided photographic evidence from facebook and twitter that I my daughter is working with a golf tour in Spain (and practicing her golf she is a 4 handicapper) and has been for the last 3 weeks and likely to stay there until December. I recently had to take my ex wife back to court as she hasn't complied with our court signed divorce consent order (from 3 years ago) reference property ....I gave it all to her but she has to sell it to remove me from the mortgages ....she hasn't because she is recieving good profitable rent. The court has now given us joint conduct of sale (great... as we can't communicate!) She did though when asked by the judge state that both our children have left full-time education....this is recorded on tape! I speak with the CSA every week.... at least once every week and have done since August, the calls are all very similar...time consuming I know that the child benefit office will not tell me the progress of their case because of confidentiality but really I am so frustrated and at my wit's end......any advice please people? I want to provide money to my children directly which hopefully will help to rebuild our relationships, my ex doesn't live with them, my son is in America on a golf scholarship and my daughter lives with her grand parents when she is in UK. My ex has alienated them against me, although my son communicates with me now since he went to the States in September. ........sorry for wingeing and waffling!

If you're not getting anywhere with the CSA and the Child Benefit office then it might be a good idea to go and see your MP, they hold regular surgeries where constituents can attend to discuss problems....others have had good results from this.

If you are still paying maintenance I suggest you could stop paying her and put the money aside in a separate account, at least that way you are showing you are willing to support your kids, just not the mother!

Thanks for your suggestion, I stopped paying CSA in September as IMO my ex is not entitled for the reasons above, I have put the last 2 CSA amounts in an account ready to go to my children .....when I finally get confirmation from the CSA that my payments have stopped I will pay into my children's bank accounts and set up standing orders for them for their University years .....I'm still waiting to hear from the CSA. So frustrating that the Child
