i received i letter from him via csa saying my arrears was £3,135.02 of which £1814.57 was due to my ex wife which if true will be paid off October 2012

i again wrote to csa in November 2011 sent prof of payments and table showing how much csa arrears i have paid which my ex wife matched amounts paid

but now they saying i owe £4901.28 and of which my ex wife arrears are £3580.83

i have now e mailed csa printed a copy to send recorded delivery and writeen back to my mp

how can they say i owe mre in space of 5 mths when i have paid every month the agreed amount to my ex wife

Hi There,

I'm not sure how they manage to work this out, it sounds as though you are doing what you should by involving your local MP.

I will ask the CMO to drop by and coment though.

Hi,

I'm Sarah, the Child Maintenance Options Consultant.

Thank you for your question. I’m sorry but we can't look into individual cases here and you will need to contact the CSA. I am sure they will be happy to answer your questions. You can find contact details on any letter the CSA have sent to you. Or, you can find the right number here: https://www2.dwp.gov.uk/csa/v2/en/contact/index.asp

I hope this will help.

Sarah

If possible, go and see your MP, purely because putting a face to the problem makes it a little more personal. Take along all details, with a copy that you can leave with the MP, as well as full details of everything that has happened. Personally, from my own experience of meeting my own MP at the time, having that face to face discussion was better than any email or letter.

I think thats great advice from actd, a letter is easy to pass on, it's a lot harder to forget a person talking to you.
