Hi, I separated from my wife last March and had to move in with my parents. I bring home about £1000p.c.m. . the CSA want £200pcm,my fuel costs for work are £2-300 pcm, I pay my parents £200 and out of the remaining £3-400 I have to allow for car maintenance , car tax and insurance, clothes, lunches, phone and still be able to take the kids out.
I am getting desperate as I'm still stuck at my parents with no hope of being able to rent a place on my own and no chance of saving any money.
Any ideas on who can help or what my options are? I'm getting to the point of wondering how long it's going to be like this and if it's worth it!!! 🙁

Hi there and welcome 🙂

At the top of the Finance section,(where you posted this) you'll find a sticky titled "How does the CSA calculate payments?" This is a link to a leaflet published by the CSA and is very helpful for calculating what you should and shouldn't be paying for...I know of one member here that has cut his CSA payments by half just by reading this leaflet. In fact he came here like you about 3 weeks ago with problems about his CSA payments that were crippling him, I decided to have a look for advice for him and found this leaflet. One of the Moderators, actd, has put it up as a sticky to help others....I believe it helped actd too! 🙂

I really hope this helps you too, its so unfair that Dads find themselves in financial hardship and the CSA just dont want to know!
