My daughter is now almost seven and when her mother and I split up around five years ago, I'v always contributed.
Three years back, i left employment and went into full time education and everything has been going fine.
Until this week.
She has requested an increased amount of money and advised me that should I not agree to this increase, I'd stop seeing my daughter. Oh yes, this happens.
So, as a full time student and part time waiter, have I any legal obligation to pay her money?
I'v checked on the CSA website but cant seem to locate anything in black and white.
Any information would be great guys

The CSA calculation is 15% of takehome pay (I think that will include regular tips) but if you are taking home less that £100 per week, then it's a flat £5 per week. Your ex has no legal right to link contact to payment of maintenance - I suspect that mediation may be too expensive as an option (though worth speaking to the local mediation service to check) in which case you could go for a contact order, citing the expense of mediation as a reason for not using the service. Have a read of yoji's guide to representing yourself at the top of the legal section to see the process you may have to go through. If you self represent, we can call on the service of the childrens legal centre for free legal advice, but you also may be eligible for legal assistance.
