My daughter is 18 in December, and goes to college for 12 hrs a week. Unfortunately I do not have any contact with her. Im pretty sure show wont be going back to college in September. Can you tell me ,if this is the case, will I still have to pay CSA payments? I understand that if her mother is still reciving child benefit then I will have to continue paying but how will I know if thats the case??

Hi

I'll ask CMO to give an opinion on this, so keep checking back.

Hi, I'm Sarah, a consultant at Child Maintenance Options.

Your daughter's mother is legally required to tell the CSA if and when your daughter leaves full-time education (A level or equivalent) and/or child benefit is no longer being paid. Once the CSA are informed of these changes, they will tell you when payments can stop.

I hope this information helps.

Sarah.
