Hello,
last year i had a phone call from CMS informing me about a claim from an ex with a child I didn't know about. I requested and paid for a DNA test as is my right, a month or so later I received another phone call from CMS informing me that the claim has been withdrawn with no further explanation and I hadn't heard any more from her.
Fast forward just over a year and I have now received a letter with a new claim for the same child from the ex. How is this possible and where do I stand? Surely the fact she withdrew the original claim would forfeit any right to claim against me again?
I had hoped that abusive, controlling and manipulating relationship was in the past and her withdrawing the CMS claim was her acknowledgement that the child was not mine and I could get on with my life and leave her in the past.
Hi,
When you previously paid for DNA test, was that carried out and did you get a result?
