[Solved] Best way to store important items on a PC?

Hi Folks

Could someone please suggest the best way to store important items on the internet or PC?

Items I was thinking of are - birth certificates, passports, school certificates, driving license etc.

A friend of mine did suggest Drop Box, Google Drive, and Sky Drive. Has anyone used any of these before? Are they quite secure?

I have used google drive, but as for security, I haven't heard anything bad about them...yet!! However you could zip them up with a password that only you knows for access perhaps?

I use dropbox for all my important documents (and that includes residence and contact orders, driving licence, car insurance etc) - the basic reason is that I know that wherever I am I can get them on my phone or, as long as I can get to a PC, I can access my documents

However, some people say it is not as secure as (say) Google drive or sky drive.

I've not heard that, but it's possible. Ultimately, if someone is determined to hack my data, they are probably going to succeed - I'm also not sure whether google drive or sky drive (or whatever it will be named) are free indefinitely - possibly so, just not something I've looked into.

Dropbox does very niftily allow you to share single documents or whole folders - I find this very useful for some work stuff.
