Hi everyone
Im new at this, me and my wife had a our baby two weeks go, a litle girl (16 weeks to early)
the problem is at now we are starting to get some of our [censored] driver back, We now are having to use contraception, ie COMDOMS eeeerrrr,We both dont like them.
I know it might sound like a tippical male thing saying i dont like using them. But thing is that i have been with my wife 7 years and we only used them for about two years, she was on the pill for 3 years and we where trying for a baby for 2 years.
So its been along time that i have not used condom.
Becasue we want to try for number two this time next year, we have been told by the midwifes that the only contraception that is open to us is comdoms, mini pill and the Diaphragm.
my wife does not want to take the mini pill becase you have to take it that the same time every day. We have tryed the Diaphragm and it just made her sore.
And before you say anything we have try all make and types of comdoms,
They ether dry her or me out 😳 or i just cant get anywhere. 😡
I know it Probably just a state of mind.
Has anyone had the same sort of problem and how did you mange to over come it
mark

Hi Mark

Congratulations on the birth of your baby daughter, I hope she's doing OK. Being born so much earlier than planned must have come as a bit of a shock.

As far as contraception goes, have you tried using any lubrication in conjunction with the condoms. KY jelly is safe to use. It may be a case of perservering.

Has your wife considered an implant? They can last up to three years but can be taken out whenever she wants. You can find out more about them and other methods that might be useful through the Family Planning Association. Their website http://www.fpa.org.uk tells you more or you can call them on their helpline number 0845 122 8690.

Hi Mark

Sounds familiar! We had baby 2 14 months after baby 1 coz we'd had enough of condoms!! So be careful not to act in haste 😉

You can but all sorts of stuff these days that help with dryness and satisfaction for both partners. As Mickey suggest KY jelly is good but some folk find it to thick. They also do a liquid that is a lot thinner and works really well. Have you seen that Durex do this ring vibrator thing that you wear at the base of the [censored] and offers both of you a vibrating stimulation. That might help if the condom is stopping all sensation.

Don't be put off - go to the chemist or Boots and have a look at what’s available - u can also shop on line at Tescos to see what they have available if standing in the aisle for 20 mins checking the products out is to embarrassing 😉
