[Solved] Family seeing kids behind my back

Hi guys

Just after some advice.

I am going through court proceedings trying to sort an order out for access to see my kids. I have been in and out of court since October last year we did have an order where I have my kids the whole weekend every fortnight but my partner broke this with no consequences. Since then my son needs CAMH’s referral as he kicks off at mine and doesn’t like my partner and the rules at my house. I am in process of getting this done and the order changed to have kids during the days. We are going to go through a solicitor now can anyone recommend any that are good & also dont charge the earth?

The only thing is I have continued to try and collect when my kids from my ex’s house to show the kids I am still trying but my ex just refuses contact.

I have recently found out my mother has seen my kids behind my back. She said I can visit her house with my kids there but not take my partner. I have said how this is wrong as I am meant to be family with my partner & her 2 kids and has probably made things worse in me trying to get access for my 2.

What are the court likely to decide on?

Hi

you can use a solicitor or self rep or use a McKenzie Friend to help you. There's no such thing as a free lunch I'm afraid and decent solicitors aren't generally cheap. It might be worth attending a Families Need Fathers meeting in your area to get some initial advice as they are free to attend.

Nobody can predict what a court will decide and safeguarding checks would need to be carried out before a decision would be made anyway and possibly a welfare report if the concerns around your child are serious.

Pick your battles wisely in the interim, take what contact you can have as court isn't a fast process.

If your order was final, you would need to re apply, if it's ongoing then you either need to wait until the next hearing or write to the court for new directions.

Feel free to pm if you want more specific advice but don't wish to post the details.

Good luck
