I've realised that due to the nature of forums (that you're most likely to log on to get something off your chest) a great number of posts, mine definitely included, are unlikely to focus on what's great about having kids.
I thought a thread that states exactly why we love having kids or a family might be a welcome retreat!
I'll start.... I've just got back from our first holiday as a family with our seven month old son. During this holiday we did a great number of things that were new experiences for him, such as boat rides, playing on the beach and seeing new animals. Whilst still young it's great to see the look on his face as he attempts to take in and decipher what exactly it is he is seeing or feeling. The look itself is obvious - a wide-eyed intense stare with his mouth open, normally culminating in a grin.
It's amazing to watch him learn all the time. Here he is watching penguins for the first time ever in his life:
Now, back to work blues tomorrow after a whole week of enjoying myself with my family!
What do you love about being a dad?
