Csa have upped payment to nearly 300 a month, after rent and bills etc this will leave me virtually starving. How do I get them to lower the monthly amount

Unfortunately you can’t.
How often do you have the kid(s)?iIt’s all based on night time stays, so make sure if you have the kids during the day they stay overnight otherwise you get ‘done’. If you can split the childcare 50/50 on nights there is nothing to pay  irrespective of daytime childcare.

I think sometimes travel to see the children can be taken into account.  Have you checked the amount on the calculator which is on the website?
