What data is incorporated into a pay stub?

Employers must give all their employees and workers payslips, by law (Employment Rights Act 1996). Workers can include people on zero-hours contracts and agency workers. Agency workers get their payslips from their agency.
Your payslip must show: your earnings before and after any deductions. the amount of any deductions that may change each time you're paid, for example tax and National Insurance. the number of hours you worked, if your pay varies depending on time worked.
