I've got my court order for contact through and I've got my next hearing in July I've already been told on the order this is a 45min hearing the last one was 30. I'm assuming that the judge is looking to use this as a final hearing as there are no CAFCASS/welfare issues etc.

thats good news mr dobski, but why have they made your next hearing so far away its like these guys have sense of urgency at all about us seeing our kids, they all take their sweet time every step of the way.

it's due to the length of time to get loaded onto the waiting list for the contact center and I'm also out the country so I'm realisticly looking at mid April before I can see my child then it's on a fortnightly basis for 6 sessions which takes it into July. I've waited years to get contact I can wait a bit longer my indirect contact will start this week 8) TBF the judge was all for giving me contact on a weekly basis to move things along but I had to highlight the distance and financal problems I would have in meeting the court order as it's a 400mile round trip each time.

The contact center I've to use has a waiting time of 6-8weeks with a maximum amount of 12 sessions each session is normally 2hrs as thats all it's open for hoping for unsupervised contact from then on in hopefully it'll mean they can come and visit me and meet their extended family.

The contact centres are generally there as an interim measure until other arrangements can be made. In my own case, it was supposed to be for a maximum of 6 months, but we used then for around 4 or 5 years, initially as supervised contact, then supported contact, and finally simply as a handover point. It would have been for longer if my ex hadn't stopped coming to contact.
