i have just been granted access to my children through a contact centre do i have to pay for the contact centre

I don't believe that you do, although many are open to donations. I would look for one local to your child and see what information they have on their website.

You'd need to check with the contact centre to be certain; I know my local contact centre does charge the non-resident parent.
