hello all

I really need some advice as to what I need to do to get access to see my kids. My marriage has come to an end, my decision as I dont love her anymore we have 2 very young boys together (22 months and 7 months) and my step daughter aged 9 - this is the one who has caused the problems and to be honest dont really give a dime about her. My ex is not letting me see my boys and refuses to answer any my texts regarding me seeing them.

My ex has got the police onto me, although no charges have been made or allegations placed basically I refused to leave the house because of my concerns with my boys, the girl keeps having breakdowns in front of them and I can see this scares them, the breakdowns are not what you aspect from a typical 9 year old I believe there is some mental health problems there although my ex refuses to believe it. I have reported my fears to social services and they are 'looking' into it at the moment. I have also told the police about my concerns for the safety of my boys but they wernt much help, I cannot go back to the house because she has bolted everything down and I cant get in. I need to see my kids and was wondering what to do next, I have parental responsabilty but that means jack sh*t im thinking of going to the courts to get a court order?

Sorry to be long winded but any help or advise will be most helpful, I forgot to say my ex has a tendency to fabricate the truth she will say anything she can to stop me seeing the boys, will me trying to gain access be a problem with what comes out of her mouth?

there is more that you can do and please be aware of the consequences if you dont act.
It is likely that you could lose contatc for 12 months or more if she feels like being awkard.

The problem is that she is she resident parent and unless she messes this up she will have the upperhand.

i guess your just starting the rocky road.

i wish i had taken my child and filed a non molestation order and refused to hand him back. i would become the resident parent if i was lucky and that would be very lucky and then id have all the advantage that gives. she ened sto be violent or unstable or taking drugs etc if you are to have any chance. mine was all those things and its been 4 mnths since i was able to have any kind of contact with a son 4 yrs who was inseperable from me. forget any nice inclinations you have and understand whats at risk. be care ful and good luck. i was arrested last week for posting my son a teddy. ive never posted before and im no risk no charges of violence or anything. my sons not allowed to speak about me and my ex sits in my house with her ex and excludedes me from my sons life. next month the court will decide if i can have supervised visits for untill the contact order is ready which could be six months. my contact may be 1 day contact centre very two weeks.........no im not any risk at all.....thats where you start...good luck.
