Hi,

Sorry to hear. I was recently involved and helped dad, where his contact was stopped due to smacking allegations and his ex did urgent court application. Judge was sensible and ordered contact to resume ASAP and ordered council to do a welfare report. Hope it goes well for you.

Just a update.

In the end I lost my access to my kids, and the court order was changed. I was found guilty of smacking my child when I never touched her.

They took away my access and I have to do a domestic abuse course. I was given a couple hours access on weekend, where before I had close to 50 50.

There was no evidence against me just what the mother and child said at time. They also put a barring order so I cant go back to court for my children without applying for permission.

To other father fighting isn't worth. After spending 120k in court fees over last 4 years I'm now a broken man.

@Vik2001 Hi, am very sorry to hear about your outcome and after the tremendous legal costs. I have dealt with many cases like this. there is still hope. you complete the DAPP/perpretator course, then apply to court for contact again, ideally after full 12 months. court will give permission if you have satisfied their conditions. you can self represent to avoid huge costs. feel free to drop me a private message if you need support.
